The European directive 2001/14/EC describes the obligation for rail infrastructure managers to develop and publish a Network Statement. It serves the information on specific rail infrastructure, commercial and legal access conditions.

RailNetEurope has developed a common structure and an implementation guide for shaping a Network Statement in accordance with Article 3 of Directive 2001/14/EC. This guideline can be applied by all Infrastructure Managers and can be downloaded here:
